A man begins to read a book about a dinner party called, ‘The Sound of Thunder’,

Written by Charcoal Grace it tells the story of eleven women who meet in a house on, 'Clover Lane', and are looked after by a butler who seems to be all knowing.

The eleven women are all people who actually existed and include Jayne Mansfield, Anne Frank, Sylvia Plath and Isadora Duncan.

The eleven women who lived in different times and places and who find themselves sat together round a table take turns to tell of their lives.

Frustrated with where they are and the purpose of the dinner party, the guests eventually begin to learn what everything means as the evening continues.

The man reading the story slowly begins to find a connection with the book.

As the man continues he begins to understand how he has the book and where it came from.
